Hi Lavina

Which milk are you referring to - breastmilk, formula or cow's milk.

It is generally advocated not to give babies any cow's milk until they turn one. They need about 65--750 mls of breastmilk or formula. If you're referring to cow's milk, don't persist with it as she obviously doesn't like the taste. Moreover the risk of allergies is also considered to be greater with cow's milk.

This is is great stage as babies start to discover more things around them and explore. keep talking to them, read out aloud lots of books - little boardbooks with bright and colourful pictures, toys that make sounds, music CDs, nursery rhymes, you singing and dancing and holding baby and dancing around are all favourites with babies. They love movement. Also play peek a boo and smile and laugh often. Your happiness rubs off positively on them too.

You and your husband are your baby's first playmates and trust your instincts.

Hope this helps. I would also like to recommend this fantatsic website- ask drsearsdotcom. He is an American paed with 8 children and there is so much info on every topic for free.

Good luck

Samika
