Feeding:black gum

Name: sheena hi,
i have a 16month old baby girl. she has got 8 teeth which looks normal. suddenly we found a black swelling in the upper gum . It had appeared specifically on a spot where a teeth could have come. Apparently, there is no sign of teething in that area.
did anyone of u have come across such situation with the kids.please let me know at the earliest..
we are really worried...

Have you taken your child to the dentist yet? If not, please make an appointment, and also it sounds like the black spot is rotten! Are you brushing the teeth daily?

hi Yaanei,
Thanks for your valuable advice.In fact, we went to a dentist.He said a teeth is attempting to come out and is pressing the gum and the blackspot is due to bloodclotting. He has given a waitperiod of one month,if the situation doesn't change we may have to go for an X-ray.
