iam rekha and iam 26year old.i live in a gulf country with my hubby and i was on pills foe past 18 months,i stoped taking pills in june and since then we are trying for our first baby,iam very desperate in this matter,iam getting my periods regularly,ie of 28 day cycle,but this timemy period were due on 1 oct,i got them on right time but there was not much flow as compare to my earlier periods also i got this time my periods for only one and half day.and had severe headache and lower abdominal pain,iam confused.please advice me what to do,am i pregnant,or not.how long should i wait,please iam looking forward to ur advice,reply urgently.

it's normal to face some consequences of BCP after discontinuing. It would take as long as 3-4 cycles for some girls to get back to original hormonal levels after discontinuation of BCP. Therefore if you discontinued BCP in June can't speak on your pregnancy or still taking time to adjust hormones in your body.

A weak or strong period is period if appeared on time. If testing is what going to ease your mind then take a test anyday with your first morning urine. who knows you could be pregnant. Some girls do get pregnant just in the next cycle after discontinuing BCP. But the trend is that many girls take about 3-4 cycles to return to normal and then they get pregnant.
