My 5 months old baby scratching his ears often,but doesnt seem to cry due to this issue. I am very concerned about this.plz clear my doubt by ur reply.thanking u in advance.

Hetal replied. there are many reasons why babies above 4months scratch ears, hit his own head, suck his own lips,or suck thumb...is all due to anxty and seprtn or fear...sometimes babies do that to show thr own frustrations that they cant express..change his diaper,feed him,,play with him,hug him,,calm or relax him with massage,,if still scratch his ears,,check his ears,,ne cuts or rashes or bruises,,contact your dr,,,,the other cause is ear infection,,,best to ensure that he is safe,,get his ears checked by your dr internally !
other than that,,its normal,,whenever he does tht,,try to divert him,,give him some small toy to hold in his hands,,keep his hands busy...
