Diet and Exercise:how to concentrate and avoid cravings

Name: fat mom

I am overwt some 15 kgs. The baby is 8m, i still feed him morning and night. I m a working person and do it sitting all day. My problem is

1- When its time to eat, I can control urge to eat high-calorie items and can do with things like salads or juice. But the problem is, while I am working, I constantly feel like eating/drinking something side by side. If I dont do that, I am restless. The side activity of eating/drinking helps me concentrate on the job.
If I try stop myself, I feel hungry after a while and I end up eating some snack. Though, when I go for the snack, I can control my feelings and have a fresh vegetable-juice instead!
I tried taking sips of lukewarm water (and thus replacing the calorie intake) while I work, but dint help much.
How do I control these cravings? Whats wrong that I need somwthing to concentrate?

2- I want to excercise in the mornings but I am just not able to manage my time. I wake up at 5:30 or 6 and feed the baby formula when the baby is still asleep. Then I make the baby sleep in other room.
The baby is a v v light sleeper. If he wakes up, I will spend mornings in susu, potty, etc for the baby.
If baby continuous to sleep, I go for a long walk with hubby.
I have an elder kid who wakes up at 730 am and I make her ready for school.
I dont cook, but I need to supervise and monitor everything else, wash baby' s bottles, finish some of my own tasks and get ready for my office by 9am.
I live in Delhi and its v cold here these days. Its not possible (or safe) to go out too early. Also, many times the baby wakes up at night and asks for feed. Bec of such sleep-disturbances, I get tired easily during the day, and when such things continue for 2-3 days I end up sleeping till 730 am and spoilng whole days plan and reach office v late.

And then, everything is a mess, I dont carry the tiffin and finally eat at the office cafeteria which has all fried and hi-calorie items.

Experienced mothers, please help me. Give me some tips in managing my time and be able to do some excercise. Also give me tips on better eating options. I get fresh fruit and veg juice in office, except that, everything else is hi-cal.

Please please help.

Hi Friends !

I have a 3.5 yrs daughter, since the time she is born i am gaining weight I am almost 25kgs over wight. I tried the VLCC package and was able to loose 9 kgs in 8 months. but regained the same in 3 months of leaving I was detected increase of TSH 7.93 (T3 & T4 are normal) in Jan this year I want to loose weight I am starting aurvedic medicine for thyoroid. I am working and sit for almost 7-8 hrs. I dring a lot of water during office and have lunch at 3pm. If you feel cravings for food try carrying plain popcorns which you can munch to keep you busy for long. Fat mom can try carying a box full of chopped fruits with salt and black pepper in an air tight container maybe something from tupperware. your maid can assist you in chopping the fruits. this will alos help to give energy to your child if you are breast feeding.you can carry veg sandwich easy to make, take two slices can put fatfree butter place cucumber & tomato slices with salt and pepper and ready in 2 minutes.

Can somebody also help me to loose weight loosing tips if TSH level is increased although it is not tyroid but only clinical tyroid which means can lead to it if not taken care. Thanks a ton.

Please dont advise me on yoga. I have done a lot of yoga in the past and I never had concentration problems. But yoga is time taking and slow, and right now need of time is losing wt by excercise.
I plan to start yoga again but after a yr or so.

I even tried Sauna belt. Irony.
Either I dont get time to sit for 50 min at a stretch bec of the kids, or
if I do, Delhi' s beloved electrivity fails.
Also, is Sauna belt good to use? or harmful?

I read in a post about Lisa miracle diet program. Can someone suggest me about this or any other program?
