My 8 1/2 month old son keeps getting severe cold & mild/severe fever very frequently. He takes semisolid just once a day which is more of Ragi & banana powder. Can someone help me. I just cant see him suffer with that cold. pia replied. I m also going thru the same phase with my 1-year-old boy. For the last 1 month have given him antibiotics he had wheezing, stuffy nose etc. It gets very difficult tosee ur little one suffer. He does not eat much when he has a cold and fever. I try to give him lots of fluids like veg soup etc. Do u give him fruits and curds when he has a cold? I think v have let the cold take its course. all the best Divya replied. Do not worrry..babies at this age get cold and its very common..there immune system is not developed as its for adults. I know, as a parent its very difficult to see babyies stuffed nose and fever...even i have gone thru it..

When your baby has fever, try to feed him lots of fluid rather than solid..Fluid helps the baby to get back the energy..

Let him take rest and try to keep the room in normal temperature..do not over dress your baby..
