I HAVE POSTED SEVRAL MESSAGES ON THIS BOARD BUT NO RESPONSE,WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE IS A SOLUTION TO WEAN MY SON FROM THE BOTTLE,HE HAS EVERYTHING PRACTICALLY EVERYTHING FROM THE BOTTLE.INCLUDING HIS LUNCH,DINNER,TEA ETC.I AM REALLY CONFUSED ON HOW TO WEAN HIM HE JUST DOESNT EAT ANYTHING ELSE SOLID,HE WAS VERY SICK WHEN HE WAs 10MOTNHS SO DOC HAD ADVICED ME TO GIVE HIM PORRIDGE FROM THAT TIME HE STOPPED TAKING ANY SOLIDS.HE WANTS EVERYTHING IN PORRIDGE FORM AND THAT TOO FROM THE BOTTLE.HE IS 18 MONTHS OLD,NOT ABLE TO WEAN HIM ,ALL SUGGESTIONS AND ADVICE IS WELCOMED. divya replied. Dear Sruti,if your son refuses to eat anything in solid form,don't force him b'coz this may cause aversion from food.What you can do is LET HIM FEED HIMSELF.In this stage,a child want to explore things around him.So,hand him over a piece of bread(may be with jam),or a slice of apple,pear or any thing which you like to feed him.He will surely try to take it into his mouth.He will enjoy feeding himself.Do not worry about the mess he would make.Just spread some old news paper or bedsheet over the floor and let him do the rest.My child also makes fuss when I feed him myself,but if I leave any thing in front of him or hand it over to him,he picks it up and starts eating himself.Don't worry.Have patience.Good Luck...
