i work from home, but my MIL is very non co operative. i have a kid of 1 yr and she is not at all bothered to take care of him when i am working. i need to take care of the baby also and also help her in the house hold chores. i end up tired by the time my hubby comes home. i tried speaking to him but he consoles that she is gone old what to tell her. hor should i manage all the work.....?? roopa replied. i think u must have already considered the idea of keeping a maid, havent u?

if not, then think abt it. get a maid hired for those 3/4/5 hours and she will take care of baby, if baby sleeps while she is around, use her to cut veggies etc, so u ll get help in housechores

if mil objects, be firm. she cant let u be without options.

second option
look for a creche cum play school v v near to house. drop baby there for the time u work. these days the creches are great, tk good care of baby, feed the baaby. when baby returns, is tired and sleeps. thus u ll get more time to work
dont think baby is small for play school. put him for smaller period say 1 hr or so. baby will play with other kids so will learn to be social and learn other skills. if u find it fine u can increase time to 2 hrs and like wise.

third tip
change baby schedule so that he sleeps when u work
1 yr bby sleeps for 3 hrs. see if that helps

four
if u hv parents/close relatives nearby, ask someone to babysit for that time

dont be sad for the MIL, there are many such MILs
some unfortunate ppl dont know how to enjoy the good things God has given them
