Feeding:feeding rice for 8 months old

i am mother of 8 months old boy. i am giving him formula. along with that i am giving him baby biscuit, fruit puree/juices, 2 times cereals ( morning wheat and evening rice cerelac ) now i want to start him rice. plz advice me how to prepare rice for my child.
i heard we have to grind the rice so that they can take easily is it true?

plz advice me.

hi archana,

u can very well give him by grinding..easy for digestion too...but once he starts teething, he will not like grinded food, he may want something to bite...so u can try without grinding then...

hi archana,

you can cook little rice and daal and grind it. Add little ghee and saltand then feed him.
Or else you can grind rice with curd and salt and feed him .

if u grind, they can swallow it easily..

hi sheena
thanks for ur advice.

acutally i soaked the rice for 1hr. i dried it with a cloth. and added 1 tsp of toor dal to it , fried it, added little jeera powder. and grinded the rice to powder.

i am cooking daily 3 tsps of rice , mixing with cauliflower or aloo etc.
for 4 whistles in pressure cooker, it is becoming like a paste. then adding little ghee and salt to it.
but still he is vomiting . daily i grinding the paste in the grinder, then he is taking.
can i grind like that ?
plz advice me what is ur opinion on it. i should give him such a fine paste daily?
