HI everyone

I am new to this site, had read lots of meegs before posting my query.

we r trying to have a baby for last 6 months with no success. i have irregular cycle 31-38 days so am not able to guess when am i ovulating.

I read abt BBT .. could u pls explain me when to take temp and how to make a BBt chart. although i have read in many mssgs i am still not clear. is it done by using digital thermometer?

Take temperatures each morning at the same time. The temperatures can be taken orally or underarm (use the same route to monitor temperatures). Use of dgital thermometer is best.
Start taking temp on the first day of your Menses and chart will complete until you get next menses, where the new chart begins.


Basal body Temp usually rises by 0.2 to 0.9 deg. Farhen. after ovulation and around/just few hours before ovualtion the Basal body temp drops by almost 1 deg. farhen.
E.g. 97 is basal body temp
jsut before ovulation would be around 96 deg farhe.
and post ovuatlion it can by anywhere between 97.2 to 98 deg farhen.

The rise in temp remain same for days if you get pregnant. If the temps fall again and reached towards the Basal body, in above example back to 97 deg. farhen. then menses are on their way!
