Hi,

Since last 2 days my son who is 2 yrs now had fever... i took him to the doc and he advised to give calpol. We gave it for 2 days and now his fever is down to a great extent. But 2-3 days before he had this fever, his food consumption has drastically fallen. he just refuses to eat/ drink. He is just becoming fussy. starts crying and yelling...

This morning i saw few pink coloured boils on his stomach and back. I applied a lotion \";Caladryl\"; on his back and stomach and the boils have reduced to some extenet..what could they be???

One more imp. question, how to get him back to eat...I cannot see him like that!!!

One more thing i've noticed that he has started rubbing his eyes often. i've checked his eyes, but they dont seem to be red or anyting like that...

Please advice on all this...

Thanks Hetal replied. let your dr see the boils and decide what it is. because you want to know if that was the cause of fever or not..mostly because in many skin eczema or rash cases fever,mild itchng to one of the body part, skin dryness,,redness or lil swellng and so onnn are often the first symptoms...

also, after seeing these,your dr may get some tests done which will ensure your baby safety...

about loss of apetite and lack of interest in foods,,,expect that whnever baby is down with fever or you are seeing something coming on your way,,may be ne illness or sickness...
a normal episode of cough and cold may result in loss of apetite so getting back to eat DEPENDS on your baby recovery,,which will happen only after your dr sees him with all the symptoms...

rubbing eyes could be sign of :
eye infection causes itching,,feeling sleepy and tired due to fatigue(esp when the diet suddenly is disturbed due to some sickness or other reasons)..

if your baby is sensitive to ne foods like nuts, eggs or meat,or ne flour and that he must have had it without your knowng,,might be the reason..
other reasons for such boils are chemical reaction due to some harsh chemicals or intake of some chemical in your household...
other reasons include : side effect of medicine (calpol side effects are genrally mild though, but yes it includes skin rashes and skin related allergies,,could be the reason )
other side effect of this medicine do include feeling tired and fatigue,unexpected bruising or colds or other infections....
these side effects are mild and often goes off after the medication is stopped but i would say why take a chance,,please talk to your dr about these boils and let him see it.

there is no other reason that i see as of now,,please visit your dr immediately and tell him what all you applied, how many times let him check your baby physically...
