Due Date Club January 2006:Fever - Archie and others

Hi Archie and others-

I am having slight fever since yesterday. I suspect it is probably from someone in the waiting room when we went to our OB visit. I take Tylenol and stay on fluids/light diet.

What bothers us is I am getting this feverish symptoms (I had this 2 weeks back and multiple times during pregnancy. Ofcourse some Tylenol, liquids made it better in 1-2 days) and worried what to do if we get this after delivery when I breastfeed the baby..

I never use to get these before pregnancy.. We are really worried and even considering bottle feeding the baby so that we dont spread the fever to the baby.

Does anyone have any suggestions how to handle this?

BTW - 38 weeks over,1 cm dilated (no progress from last week), baby in -1 station... waiting for d-day, not much BHC...

Thanks

KP

Fever can be bothersome provided it does not subside from Tylenol. If Tylenol has been of a great help then most likely you should have troubles.
Try to minimize contacts with others after childbirht for first few weeks and see what happens. Don't think of options from now, you may not need to get that serious on other options.

If u havent yet called ur doc.. do it!! Fever during pregnancy is definitely something u shudnt ignore, esp when u are getting it multiple times.

Am sure after ur delivery, based on ur condition .. the doctors mite give u the correct advise whether to breast-feed or not.

Take care!!

Hi all

I am feeling better now. It looks like a mild infection in teeth which got better with antibiotics in couple of days.

Have any of you pierced your baby´ s ears?
Have any of you pierced your baby' s ears? Where did you get it done? Were you able to change the earrings after the piercing and put on indian ear rings? My pediatrician does not do it, and she suggested that i take tanvi to the mall. Pls share your experiences at the mall if you' ve had any.

Ear piercing
My daughter was 5 months old when we decided to get her ear pierced. The non medical ear piercing options are painful and unsafe with possibilities of hepatitis, viruses and even HIV and I can never recommend it. My husband and I were looking for a safe, modern, gun shot piercing option which is completely safe, pain-free and with a traditional touch as well.
