Hi! I have been goign thru the message board and have seen everyone asking Archie for advice. So I thought let me too ask Archie for the same.
I am 32 yrs old and am still waiting to conceive afetr 10 yrs of marriage. have tried IUI and IVf and have failed at every step. Still every month have hope that may be this will bring me good luck. Recently we went to South Africa for a holiday and the timing was perfect coz it was during the fantastic part of my cycle. On my return, i was overdue by 10 days and was very very hopeful that this was it, but then yesterday morning I got up to have my periods start. IT was so disappointing, I can't even describe it. Wonder why God does that! I am so depressed, it hurts. Archie replied. Dear GP,
I understand your pain.
However 10 years is long time to try and I guess you have an idea as to what's wrong.
Usually infertility (not sterility) is contributed 40% at each partner and 20 % is shared due to other factors that are out of our reach and we call that \";unexplained infertility\";. Many people from later class get pregnant when they stop thinking of the issue. I hope you are in the second category as you say IUI and IVF failed.
