Avi replied. Hey Hemani, sorry to hear about the insulin....I am sure you must be very stressed out about it...but like everyone here says, take it easy and take it one day at a time and do your best... I am sure your baby will be just fine..
Good luck

Nikita replied. Hi Hemani,
I am very sorry to hear about this. I think u r doing good by meditating, that should really help to keep urself calm. Try not to get too stressed out as it will only make it difficult for u to cope with already difficult situation.
For low carb recipes, u can refer to www*lowcarbcafe*com
Hope it helps.
And don't worry ur baby will be just perfect. We will all pray for u and ur baby.
Take care and think positive.

Vindhya replied. Hi Hemani,
I am sorry I don't have much advice on the diet, but I do feel sorry to hear this. Hope you follow Jaya & Priya's advice. I am sure everything will come under control. Since stress also plays a major role, please don't stress yourself.
Don't worry, your baby will be just fine.
Take care,
Vindhya
Priya replied. Hey Hemani,
From one GD patient to another...you should'nt be worried. Insulin is to help you maintain the levels. As Jaya says, avoid rice completely. I also stick to wheat based items. 1 small chapati (and I mean small!!), a little vegetable and some yogurt is pushing the limit already. Walking helps a lot. Most people with GD go one to have perfectly healthy babies...it's bad when it goes undetected...clealy not a problem in your case. Just take it easy, one day at a time. Not too much longer to go!

Sorry to hear about the insulin. I heard that as we get closer to the delivery, our hormones act up much more and its difficult to maintain BS levels with only diet and exercise.
I too have GD and its really tiring with all the walking that I am doing. But I keep reminding myself that whatever I am doing is good for my baby and its only for another 9 weeks( in my case). Meditation is a great idea and you should keep going at it. You will soon have a baby in your arms and you will forget all about this GD phase.
I normally have wheat bread for breakfast - Toast and an egg. Or sometimes I make upma/Kichidi made from cracked wheat. It has helped me maintain my levels. Generally I eat anything made from wheat and avoid rice of any kind.
Cheer up and let us know how its going .....

Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a Diaper Service Provider in Bangalore? They generally provide cloth diapers and replace them with a new set every 2-3 days.
