Hetal,
I hv 2 kids (4yr & 5m baby) and live in Delhi. Some days back my elder kid sufferred from viral fever and within next 2 days the baby also sufferred from same, inspite of a bundle of precautions taken by me.

I understand things like - it is difficult to prevent viral infections like that, baby might hv had fever not by infection, such fevers help increase immunity in the baby, etc.

Though my question is not really bec of with what happ with me. But the thought of putting this ques came to my mind while i was trying to take precautions, i felt it will help all the mothers on this board.

Not just viral fever, but i wanted to understand overall what general precautions can mothers take to prevent infections like viral fever/cough/cold/other common ailments between their kids.

Just let us know some common points/tips if possible.

Hetal - I am also interested in knowing - how much apprx time does it take for a viral infection to convert into fever/cough in babies, kids and elders with normal resistance power?
