Due Date Club November 2003:Anyone tried the torch game ?

Hi

Just read that if you shine a torch on your bare belly, the baby will move towards the light source. This is what I read about it on Babycenter site

\";He can probably see what's going on in utero, distinguish light from dark, and even track a light source. If you shine a light on a your belly, your baby may move his head to follow the light or even reach out to touch the moving glow. Some researchers think baring your belly to light stimulates visual development.\";

Wonder if I would be irritating the baby too much? But I just may try it..... :)

Have a fun weekend

Hi Jaya,

I've heard about this phenomenon too, but never tried it. I guess, it should work, as babies have developed their sense of sight by now and should be able to react to sudden glow of light.

Do let us know ur experience if u happen to try it and if try i'll share with u all too.

Rgds/Nikita.

Hi Jaya,

One of my co-worker is 5 months pregnant and she said that her husband tries this trick all the time. I used to think that the baby's vision developed from the sixth month, I guess I was wrong.

I heard some try this trick when the baby is in breech position.

I need to buy a torch to try it. It's in the list of things I am planning to buy.

I don't think this would bother the baby, but it's better to confirm with the doctor.

Vindhya

Diaper Service Provider,Bangalore
Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a Diaper Service Provider in Bangalore? They generally provide cloth diapers and replace them with a new set every 2-3 days.

Thanks in advance
