Problems in School:Things that schools dont tell
2010-09-30
Name: Parent

There is some information that schools give and some that they don' t. This forum is to share all such unsaid information with new parents for their benefit. Here' s my feedback
Thakur International School, Kandivali West --
--Very good infrastructure.
--No dabbawalas/parents with dabbas are allowed. Child has to carry or purchase from canteen.
--Administration office has yet to pull their socks. They make mistakes, but best is , they don' t accept their mistakes
--Administration staff can be very rude sometimes
--Appt required to meet ANYONE is school, be it Principal, headmistress, teacher or the administration office
--You are dealing with a set of people with closed ears. No feedback is accepted with a smile
--Don' t be surprised if the principal excuses herself and walks right out of the office while ur still conversing with her
--Bus facility is only for afternoon batches. If you want morning, school bus is mandatory
--Every year you need to buy a new sports uniform coz the colour is different for each grade
--Expensive Reebok shoes are a must (Rs.700 apprx), yet poor quality
--School uniform changes from grade 1
--Apart from school fees, there are some ' Activity charges' amounting to apprx Rs.11000 annual for stationery, books and ' activities'
--No transparency regarding the so called ' activities'
--Inspite of paying for stationery, u will be asked to provide additional stationery like pencils, erasers, sketch pens etc...
