My lil one was 2.7 at birth and at the end of 3months was 5 kg. He is quite tall 60 cm at 3 months but looks very small. I am very worried for his weight. He is on breast milk and one formula of 4 oz. He finishes all of that. He is quite active,, turns on sides, talks a lot and grasps everything given to him. Doctor has asked me to start fruits for him once he competes 4 months. Please let me know what fruits to given him to increase his weight.. I am really very worried for him.. Pls help!!!!

acc to me till six months bf is stricly recommeded for babies they dont need anything else...
if ur working then its a total diff thing..or wise it shd be only bm or formula...thats it...

what if u start with fruits say banana...n apple n he is not able to digest...if apple gv s constipation...etc...
he is too young to go thru such probs...

As far as i know, upto the age of 6months baby should be given just breastmilk and/or formula, but now that your dr. has asked to start fruits after 4 months, u can start with banana and apple. You can mash banana and add little bit of milk to make it thin and you can boil apple in little water and mash it. banana in milk increases weight but it can also lead to constipation, so keep a check for that also.
