Sleeping:wakes at night for 5hrs daily

Hi All,

My 2mnths daughter follows a schedule of feeding after every 3 hrs the whole day and night.
But the problem is she doesnt sleep for 5 hrs every night from 10' o clock till 3' o clock irrespective of weather she has slept at daytime or not.At that time she wants the pacifier or someone to carry her and swing just to sooth her.I am really worried as she does it every night and this disturbs our sleep too.

Plz help

I will suggest u to give her dummy that' s wot i did.my mum was here when amol was born and she went back when he was 2 months old n was against dummy as u can imagine amol use to be with her day n night n 1st 2 months wre great 4 me n when she went back i know it will be difficult so we introduce dummy. avents orthodox is good as these one dont harm there teeths n make sure to take it away at 9 months (as i did this also) n 2 months old baby is too small to sleep through night so i will only say get use to this and when ever u get time to rest in day take it as once she is 11 or 12 months old then there is no stopping and u need eyes everywhere. so whatever sleep or rest u can get (which i know is immpossible) have it now. this is the only thing i miss away from India n family as there everyone is there to help but outside india baby job is 48 hours from 24 hours.

Hi,
U are absolutely right..even i miss my family back in India. For our LO we are their whole world.
We have started making her schedule to sleep at 11:30.Doctor says its ok if she cries for smtime and then sleeps.Few kids have fussy time in a day.
I hope she will be sleeping at normal time very soon. And i will try giving her dummy.

Give my love to sweet Amol
Take care
Meenakshi

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
