Breastfeeding:Teething and brestfeeding

My 6 months old daughter has started teething. The lower 2 teeth are out.She bites me a lot while brestfeeding. It very difficult to feed her. I have tried nipple shields, she refuses to suck. She refuses bottles as well. I don't know what to do. Please help.

Hi

My daughter is 8 months old and I have the same problem too. She bite me so hard that my nipples were painful for 2 days. I tried to give her solid foods she refused. See if your daughter tries it, or else apply Orajel on her gums and give her teething ring too. Also why don't you give her Infants Motrin Drops as I did that and she was relieved with the pain, But if you give Tylenol/Motrin Infants Drops ask your pediatrician as your baby is just 6 months old.

According to my gyno, I have some special hormones due to which i can easily lactate and due to that my motherly instincts are extremely high. I was lactating until 1 yr back & I still can induce if i want to breastfeed anyone.
