My son is 5 months and I want to start with rice cereal but I do not know how to make it. I mean how water and formula(quantity) you add. Please reply me soon.

You will notice that when you start feeding Rice cereal the amount of milk the child drinks will come down (understandably) . So here's what I do.... I add the quantity of formula powder she normally would have consumed at that feed. Say for example if she drinks three ounces of formula I ewill add the powder equalt to maybe 2-3 ounces of formula to the Rice cereal and mix it with water to whatever consitency the baby likes it at ....So that way they are jot forgoing the nutrition from the formula...at the aame time they get the Rice cereal as well..... it's easy to mix the cereal.
take 1 tbsp cereal in a bowl add i/4 tbsp formula (it is added as the cereal has no taste with formula or breast milk it gets some taste)and mix with water(it sould be like dosa batter).in starting it should be loose as ur baby grows make it thick.
daily give once and don't give other solids till a week to c whether he likes and suits for him.

have patience while feeding first time.

bye. sunee replied. even my son is 5 months old. i started weaning him with rice cereal . u add formula not water. start with two spoons if he likes u can increase the quantity. first feed him once a day, after a week u can feed him twice.
