Can anyone explain me abt the ovulation calender...from 1-28 days cycle...when is the fertile period.....if we are not planing pregnancy what is the safe period for having sex...please help Sachi replied. Thanks sachi replied. Hi Rhea,

I can say I have a decent Idea of what you are asking. Whole process starts and ends with you periods. The Last day of your period is referred to as LMP date( Last menstrual period date).1st day after your menses stop is day 1 and a normal cycle is of 28 days.

Day 1 to Day 4 Uterus Prepares itself for next ovulation. I.e. the inner lining of uterus is regenerated.
Day 4 to day 8 Ovum preparation time.( Ovary works on creation of ovum the egg)
Day 8 to Day 9 Ovum is delivered into the fallopian tubes.
Day 9 to Day 18 Ovum waits for the fertilization within fallopian tubes.
Day 18 t0 Day 24 Ovum starts degeneration along with the inner lining of uterus.
Day 24 to Day 28 Ovum and the inner lining is shed out of uterus Via Vagina along with blood known as periods.

After day 28 again comes day 1 and whole cycle repeats again and again till women menopauses’

Now further to your question. The above mentioned is an Ideal cycle but there are always exceptions. In a normal case we can assume time from Day 1 to Day 6 is a safe time to have sex without protection. Enjoy this time. But I will personally suggest on day 1 do not have sex without condoms as the uterus would have just recuperated from the painful periods and inner lining is not yet completely formed, not from pregnancy point of view but your uterus and Vagina are very susceptible to infections. So prefer to avoid. Day 2 to 6 are best so enjoy.
Beyond it I can not say any day is safe. Even if your partner puts in his organ once is can cause pregnancy because its a myth that sperms come out during ejaculations
they can come out any time after errection. So don’t take chances.


Time from Day 11 to 16 is the maximum heat period or can say most fertile time if you wish to conceive. Ping me if you wish to further discuss.

Nothing is Guaranteed for sure. But give or take the most Fertile period is 14 days after Your last period.
