Hi,
My son is 14 months old. The problem is he drinks milk only while sleeping. so, he still continues to take milk in bottles, everything else i give it in a sipper. And he is fine with it.
I'm not sure on what to do. How do i get him to drink milk in sippers?
Moreover he has 7 teeth, will this habbit create any pbm?
Pls advice.

I wish I could give you some advice on this subject.
I know what you're going through.
Our son is 3 yrs old & we were just able to get him off the bottle recently.
We gave him everything but milk in cups.
Now that we've told him that we have no more bottles, he won't drink his milk at all.
His father has to make him sit in one place until he finishes it from a cup.
Unfortunately, his father travels a lot
and I'm not able to get him to drink the milk when his dad is gone.
Now of course, I'm worried because he's not getting the nutrition milk provides.
Good Luck

Sorry to sound preachy but it is high time she gave up drinking milk in a bottle, expeecially at night. It is very bad for her teeth. She is probably doing it for comfort and out of habit. Try to talk her out of it and cut down on the bottle. You can pick a day and tell her that the bottle will go 'bye bye' that day and put it away. She will probably cry her heart out but if you can be strong and not give in. Be prepared for a sleepless nights , so try to do it on a long weekend. If you do not want to go cold turkey, you can add water to the milk and keep increasing the dilution gradually till it is all water. She will probably not like the taste and give it up. Or you can cut a small hole in the nipple to reduce the suction.
I hope these suggestions help. Let us know how the weaning goes.
