Seems he may not feel adequate in orally pleasing you. Maybe he just doesn't like it. Alot of men either love it or hate it, i don't think there is an in between with them on this issue.

Keep talking to your hubby. Tell him you like it, the way it feels and ask if there is a reason he doesn't like it and how you can fix that issue. But, don't change yourself.
