Problems in School:Ryan,Malad is definately a good school

Dear Preeti,
I have read your post about Ryan International School, Malad .
I wish to inform other parents who have or who will read the post that the school is DEFINITELY not as described by you.
I have a daughter who is studying there for the last 7 yrs and I have never faced any problem of the kind that you have mentioned.
Neither has any of my friends . There are hundreds of kids from my locality who study there and we have never found problems of the kind that you have mentioned.
Of course there are minor ones which are present in every school but certainly not like what you have mentioned.
The teachers are definitely not foul mouthed. Some may be a little strict but don’t you think we all had a few like that when we were in school. My daughter is 9 yrs old and she always says that teachers have always helped out so have my friends and acquaintance’s children. Whenever we have had a problem the school has been polite and helpful. For example, my son is three and it was raining with a lot of thunder one day.
He is terrified of thunder so I called school to tell his teacher about it. The receptionist told me she would pass on a message to the teacher. When my son came home I asked him about it and he said when thunder sounded teacher hugged him tight and told thunder to go away as he was scared and made him sit close to her for the rest of the day. DOES THAT TELLYOU SOMETHING?
My son is in Montessori now. Do you think I would have opted to put him also in Ryan if the school was as you have described? NO WAY !!!!!!
I also found Ms Nikita to be quite helpful when I had a problem regarding my son.
Did you have a personal problem with her?
To all readers , the school is definitely good I dont think if it was as is written here we would have let both our kids study there. So please dont get swayed by hysteric comments. I think Preeti has had some problem which has prompted her to write such horrible things
By the way, Preeti which class is your child in and where does your child study now?.
Which school would you recommend?

Hi Smita,

Even I am shocked to hear from you that you consider it a good school.

You meet parents of various background, nobody till date told me good about this school.

And i do not have any personal problems with Nikita, or any teachers, but the only thing is they are not qualified up to the standards. and if they can raise hand on my child, why not others.

I have seen the teachers, they do not know how to speak to a parent, my child till today says that the teacher beat him and my child will never be able to tell false.

May be you are an option....
May be you are partial... I am not bothered....

And why should i tell you where my child is now, I know my child every while its not your problem...he will be going to best of schools...

For you all the best with your Ryan International school, Malad (West)

But I will say Ryan Malad is a very BAD SCHOOL IN ALL THE WAYS, TEACHING, PRESSURING, CLEANLINESS AND THE QUALITY OF TEACHERS..

that' s all.... all the best with your kids.....in regards to Ryan...

What i faced, i would like to convey to others... the truth ... not false....

Thanks for your reply,
Bye, All the best!!!!!!!!

I recently went through the process of admitting my child to Nursery in Ryan.

What shocked me was not that they charge Rs 800 for a 1 page form, but they even dont give a receipt of this money paid. There is absolutely no document evidencing this payment. That a school who is supposed to teach ethics to our children indulges in generating black money for its promoters is unsettling to say the least.

All other schools that we applied to gave receipts for the form money paid

It is really shameful that people write such kind of garbage about a school. Just because you have had one bad experience doesn´ t means that the whole school is bad. Preeti, I can assure of one thing, you don´ t know your child well. Children make such stories if they don´ t want to go to school or they don´ t like a teacher just because logically the teacher is right. You need to understand the psycology of a child. If you don´ t or if you refuse to understand your child´ s psycology, in the long run you will differ and your child will move away from you. Mind it, I am not saying that your child is wrong or your child is lying, but as parents we need to understand our children and correct them without any punishment. You have written so much about the strictness of the school. Let me tell you, all ICSC schools follow a strict rule of discipline. Right now I am in the UK and soon will be moving back to Mumbai but I will still give first preference to Rayan Int. School and would get my son admitted in Rayan Int. School because my background is also from an ICSC school where I was taught by Irish Brothers and I can understand the culture. If I understand your psycology correctly, it was a minor incident but just because someone else said something to your child, you are throwing it out in words on a website. Please remember one thing, a teacher is always a teacher. It all depends on a student as well. Do you mean to say that in olden days the teacher were required to be B.Ed/M.Ed? I think you are living in a wrong world. Your foul sense of looking at life can be seen in the way you have written. It reflects on you and not the school. Also, a child remains most of the time with the parents and not in the school. Think what you are reflecting and teaching your own child...Shame!!!!
