Vindhya and everyone who live close by to Berkeley, I know the weekend is a way away from now but If you are around my locales (Oakland, Berkeley etc) this weekend..YOu should surely check out the Solano stroll on Sunday in Albany's Solano Avenue...

If you are not aware of it, we have it every year and it is East Bay's oldest and largest free street festival with lots of people, parades, sidewalk sales, food etc etc...It will be one of those berkeleyite crazy, different yet fun kinda things to watch and do.

Since my workplace is one of the sponsors, I was asked if I could volunteer and I just might help out if I am up for it on Sunday.

Glad to hear you have a lovely weekend planned ahead. We have no such fun in rainy, muggy London!! Yes, for a change we had a great long summer, then extremely hot summer (Record breaking) and now back to the cold and rain! Anyways, have fun and maybe u can take some pics at the fare and post it up in the briefcase...waiting to see your pic!

too bad, I didn't succeed in making yu jealous.. :)
Whenever I talk to my friends in the eAst coast and they complain about how cold it is out there..I tell them about all the fun things I do here and about how nice the weather is just to make em jealous and believe me it works.... :)
Newport beach is a great,beachy, very laid-back city to live in too...I am sure your collegues must have loads of fun there....

You are not a nag at all sweety.....I think it is very sweet of you to care enough to want to see pics of me...I will surely post some very soon...

and yes, we will surely keep in touch post pregnancy too...although we haven't met and probably will never do, I feel bonded to you and everyone else here and will surely love to keep in touch for a long long time..:)

Hi Avi. I know californians are blessed with lovely weather all yr round, my company office is in Newport Beach and few of my colleagues have homes next to the beach so hear endless fun stuff from them too. But I don't get jealous, I tell myself that is what holidays r for, so will keep visiting sunny places for holidays until LONDON behaves itself! ;-)
Well, I didnt' want to sound like a nag about the pic, just thought it would nice to see u all nice and rollie pollie rather than when the baby arrives. Sure want to share pics of post pregnancy with everyone too. Won't want to be out of touch just when motherhood beckons!

Hey Simmi, we here have nice days more often than you londoners ... ha ha ha...
something else to make yu a bit jealous maybe-
Our temperatures are mostly in the 60's or 70's with a bit of fog and rain occasionally.....but very very pleasant all year round..

It is so sweet of you keep reminding me, if not for myself I will surely take a picture and post it soon...only for you.... :)

Thanks for the invitation. I would be a great way to meet you. However, I am going to be spending Sunday in the Elizabeth Arden spa in SF !! My husband bought me a gift certificate for the expecting mom's package. I was so surprised. I am really looking forward to a day of pampering!

Hi Avi,

I will definitely try to make it on Sunday, but not 100% sure. In case I do make it, I will looking for an all-smiling, friendly pregnant indian girl in a booth. I know that'll be you.

As for volunteering, make sure you'll have a place to rest. If it is too sunny, I wouldn't venture into this. Drink lots of water incase you go.

Vindhya, do try but I am sure you have other more pressing things to tend to like shopping and resting and relaxing..
So, we could find another, more-easy-to recognize-each-other way to meet if you cant make it.. :)

I was hoping for it to be a not-too-sunny-a-day (like today). If it is , I will surely drop out of volunteering...

Speaking of Sunny days, I just got back from going out for a bit, I love the weather..cloudy with a slight drizzle.I was glad to not see the sun...for a change..
