Hi ,
My baby is 9 months old ,
I need an opinion as to whether creches' are better or having a maid at home is better to look after my baby

I have a maid who has been working at our house for 2 yrs. I know her background and stuff.. and she is pretty ok.

But I am scared abt leaving the maid and baby alone at home during day time as mine is a single house and the layout is not fully occupied as yet. The security that you get in appartments is not there is single house.

I dont' know much abt creches and the right age for one.

Hi Lina,
Actually its revers. I stay near ITPL and work at residency road. I wanted a creche near my office that's why I preferred residency road than ITPL. I came to know of a creche in AECS Layout near ITPL where you can leave your maid. Although I haven't approached them yet as I'm having my sister rt now at my place to look after my son alongwith the maid but in future I think I have to opt that itself.

Thanks Jaya for the creche info.. Actually I feel travelling with such a small baby for abt 15 kms daily would be difficult for the baby . so I am looking for a creche near my residence... also i am planning to work in shifts so that we can have max coverage at home... lets see how things work out..

Hi Lina,
I was also facing the same situation and the best solution for this if your maid is good is to leave her alongwith the kid at the creche. In this way your kid will be safe and playing with other kids in the creche and your maid would look after the kid exclusively there too.

Thanks a lot for your reply. Even I was thinking on similar lines , but I am not sure if the creche people would agree to having our maid .
I got to know that u stay at Residency road and work at ITPL from one of ur prev messages.. Did u manage to get a creche ? I too work at ITPL and stay at Banaswadi.

I usually get quality time with my son on Sundays/holidays. But then as i reach home by 8 eve, I realy work hard to finish the work and food by 10 or 10:30 to make love with my son coz i love him very much after my husband.
