Sleeping:breastfeed to sleep,please advise

Hi,hetal. My daughter is 9and 1/2 months old. She is used to breastfed to sleep from the beginning. I have tried number of ways to get her out of this habit but in vain. She cries and wants to latch on to my breast to sleep. I have to start working from next month and I donot know how she would sleep without me. My mother in law stays with me and my daughter is quite attached to her. But till date, I have been taking care of all her needs and hence, will it be advisable to leave her with my inlaw for about 9 to 10 hours a day at this age?? I have never left her and gone out for more than 4 hours till date. Also, what would be the best method to put her to sleep ? Shall I try a cloth cradle at this stage?? I have tried singing, carry and walk around but at home, this does not work. When we go out sometimes, she sleeps on her own. At home, this does not happen. Please advise

Hey u should be happy abt this.U need not rock her to sleep if she sleeps on feeding.
Dont worry at all..Since you were there with the kid,she is accostomed to this habit. But sure once you leave her alone her sleeping habits will change.Kids dont have any sleep patterns of their own.Its how we train them.

Sleep Problem due to itchy skin
My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. Could you please provide me with more ideas that can promote better sleep for her?... - Sanchari Tarafdar [View Message]

RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
