hi guys,
my daughter is 9 mths old i breast feed her twice a day and i want to wean her off from my fed at night but she just wont. even if i feed her one ounce of milk she vomits it wantingly, just so that i can feed her. i have to wean her off now or never cos my cousin had terrible prob weaning from breast. but even now when am givin her fomula milk i give it thru spoon or thru somthin else, she dosent even take from a sipper!someone please give me suggestions as too how to feed her milk & what kind of sipper should i buy! by the way she does not suck unless she is on my breast!HELP!!

I used to give my daughter a veggie and cereal mixed with milk and fruit at night just 1 hr before her bed time.
I would just pat her to sleep may be some water with cup. Whenever she would wake up at night I would give her water from cup. Stop giving her the feed before sleeping first and continue the sec one for few days and then after 4 -5 days stop that too. If she wakes up just give her water(avoid if u can) and pat her back to sleep. After few nights she will know there is no use waking up.
This way u wont have any breast problem either. You will have few disturbed nights though.
I never gave my daughter the bottle. I did try the Avent sippy cup and bottles with straw. My doc said that I can give her cheese and yougurt. I used to give her custard made with formula. Also the banana shake. I just keep them thick and feed her with spoon.
