Hello all mommas to be,

Does anyone know, what r special precautions to be taken during an eclipse? I learnt from somebody that on 16th may is some eclipse(not sure if solar or lunar). And I also know during pregnancy there are a lots of dos and don'ts, just don't know what, if anyone who knows please share with rest of us.

Hi Nikita.....my mother says that normally a pregnant woman should be particularly careful during the solar eclpse....the best bet is to just stay in bed and do nothing major....reading should be good...of course the ide is not to look out at all...also NEVER hold a knife or a scissor or any sharp harmful objects in ur hand. DONT KNOW WHAT\";S THE SIGNIFICANCE but a little care harms no one! Dont enter the kitchen mainly and yes, do not cut ANYTHING. I know ultimately its everone;s own beliefs but I guess one day tucking urself in bed would do u more good than harm.

Hi Nikita,
Yes 16th May is a lunar eclipse, and 31st May is a solar eclipse in India.

I know for sure that pregnant women should not go out in a solar eclipse. I'm not sure if there is any similar scientific reason for the lunar one.
