dear mam,

r u a friend of your kid or an enemy. He is two years old and u hv put him in school.

my kid is 2.5 yrs and i wl put him in school only when he is 3+. I feel it is insane to put a kid in school when he is as young as 2 yr. Let them be free for atleast three years of their life. why put undue pressure on them. They have face enormous throughout their life. let us atleast make a good beginning.

Two years is too young to go to school
Right now child wants your attention, he should learn some basics from home .Later you send him to school

Dear Komal,
dont worry.you should never push a child to school.they will only repel.instead of that there is a way by which ,they themselves will be eager to go to shool.it worked for both of my kids !!and now they trouble me during holidays too that they want to go to school!!.
1)after you decide to put him in school, you should start getting him ready too...this is how.
2)start reading him books or show him some video in which they show how kids enjoy school.but you should be careful not to mention anything about his going to school now.no, it should come from him.start telling him stories about school.present a picture that school is real fun with lots of singing, dancing ,painting, abc's and snacks!!
2)keep doing this for a week.
3)tell him that you wish you were going to school too.
4)then take him to the school he is going to join.but don't force anything like wishing the teacher or showing good manners.just get him excited that you are going to see what a school is like
5)if possible take a snap of the class with kids and paste it in the room where he usually spend a lot of time.
6)mention that only big boys go to school.'
7)once he starts getting excited ask him, are you a big boy ?do you want to go to school too?.if the answer is positive then praise him!!
8)once you start going to school with him, dont push him into anything.even if you have to sit inside the class dont sit with the concerned look on your face (thats what most of the parents do).take a book or some work and you be involved in your work not taking any notice of him at all.once he understands that you and the others are doing their work ,he will feel bored and the only thing left for him will be to join the class!!
9)do this for a week.and once he is comfortable you can stay outside the class, but still pretend that you are involved in your own work.after school talk to him about school, whether he enjoyed and had fun etc..
10)in your case komal, you can start reading books etc.and get him excited about school.but if you tell him that he has to go to school or how important it is ,believe me that will never work.the interest should come from him.he needs lot of encouragement.
10)follow a strict routine and after getting ready, tell him how smart he looks and encourage him every step of the way.
11)if you are preparing for the interview dont tell him anything about how important it is.just get him interested as if it is a fun thing!
hope you will be able to do weel.good luck
