Hello all,
I am a mother of a 2 year old and am working in a s/w company. My mom had been staying with me and looking after my child when i went to work. All this time my dad stayed alone in the place where he is working.. Then a month back my mom took my son and went to stay with my dad.. We really dont rely on maids and the creches are also not so good.. you know very little place and no outdoor activities. i dont want my child to be restricted for full day in his blooming years. But, at the same time i am finding it very hard to stay far from him.. they are not nearby like we cannot go an d visit them every weekend or once a month.. i am missing him a lot. But, my father stayed alone for almost a year for our sake and i dont want my mom to leave him alone again. He will retire next year. So, that means i have to stay without my child for another 7-8 months.. this last one month was so difficult without him.. please advise what should i do .. i feel i have come to a stage in which all decisions i make are sooo difficult..
1. I ask my mom to come.. it will be again hard for my parents to be separated again for 7-8 months.
2. I bring my son back.. means i put him in some creche where he will be always indoors and i will be always worried.
3. I leave them there for 7-8 more months and keep missing him.
Please anybody ... what should i do.. do i have another choice?? soha replied. hi!
u seem to have a very negative image of a creche.i send my child to a creche and they do a really great job..ofcourse! this is the 4th creche i'm putting my child in and i know my search ends here.and i got the right one with in 2 months of my shift to bangalore.i'm very happy.my child does all the right activities and they take him to park daily for out door activities too. you can consider puuting ur child in a daycare..just find the right one. it's like finding the right job. Leave her in a creche - it is not that bad as you think. She is 2 years old and she will adjust. After all, she has to go to scholl next year. Find a very good creche - look around, ask your friends, go and visit a few before you choose. It will be lot better than leaving your child with your parents who are far away. Yes, it is the best for you and your child, if your Mom is staying wiht you to look after your child. But it is not good for your Mom and Dad. What does he do for his food and all? Why you are worrying that much yaar. See Even I'm also working.It is reallygood if our parents are at home to take care about our kids, but we should also thinkmabout them right. Ask your mum to send one maid from your place.You do your work before u come to office make everything ready forthe baby and for the maid also. U can call themin between, otherwise ask your neighbour to have a look on them. Arreange your work accordingly. Ask your Manager to arrange a laptop or facility to work from home for ssome time.
There are a very good creches nowadays. and u can send her to play school atleast for 2 to 4 hrs .
Don't worry yaar. If u see it as a problem then everything is problem.
but taking care of kid is the biggest responsibility in our life's.
I have faced all these thtas why Im telling you.
Initially child will not adjust, but later slowly she can adjust. Don't delay in taking decision.

I have a 5 month baby..as of now my parents are looking after here; however when she's 6 months, we shall put her in a creche...I have seen so many babies in creches, if you really look for a good creche, youy child will be happier than with only aged parents at home. This is a much better facility than maids and for your help, you can always talk to us. Please cheer up and look for a good creche immediately. Don't think of staying without your child at all. try to find out some good creache in your area. All creache are not bad as u are thinking. SO many of my friend's kids are going in creache and all r happy.
Imp point is its only both of yours responsibility to take care of yr child not of yours parent.
