Dont know why..but i have stoped giving him nuts today..Now i have read ur reply.I didn't give him,actually he is vegeterian so i try to give him him nuts 1 time as doc told but u r right may be he cant digest this.today i gave him whole wheat with banana.lets see.tomorrow i have an appo with his gastoo..doc.thanks hetal being so supportive.

I wrote he is gaining actually it will be he is not gaining.he is teething too,he has 8 teeth,molar teeth is coming out,,2.he is very very active baby.he is walking and started walk at 10 months.he never crawls,he started walking with support at 7 months.He is talking few words like daddy,mamma,mama,dida,sathiya,jiya,ajja,ok,yahh,bye..just few .
Hetal replied. make him sleep elevated..tug a folded comforter or thick bed sheet below his head supporting in a way that it is supported well until shoulders.
dont make him sleep just after feeds or dinner or meals..let him play,make him walk a while,,,the sleeping time should be 2-3 hours after his meals and atleast 30mins after feeds.
13months as you mentioned is pretty long time that your baby is still having acid reflux,,,if i were you, i would consult a good gastroenterologist.
reason being, by 6months itself your baby should come out of it !
is your baby 13months or days ? correct me.
wat he eats ? any spices have you introduced ? did he started having this recently or continuing from birth !
there are many reasons of reflux,,it depends on diet/total intake of baby, eating habits/time periods between each meals of baby,behaviour of baby,and also baby internal health conditions...dont want to scare you by any means, but consult a good dr.
babies older than 6months of age should not have reflux as by the age of 6months their esophageal track is pretty much mature to accept simple spiceless or rather less spicy foods !
fatty fried foods,chocolate,garlic,onions,drinks with caffeine,citrus foods or tomatoes,or spicy flavorings like cayne,pepper,chilli pwder, or any mint flavorings,then there is a possibility that your baby is having reflux.
f you are giving any of thse,please stop it,,and see the difference,,if there is no difference,,consult a good dr.the other way as well i would personally recommend you to visit your dr as baby is 13months old !

try avoiding nuts,see how his body reacts..some babies have known to get relfuxed with any kind of nuts,like almond,peanuts or cashews...
often these nuts contain nutrients in high levels and some babies (even though not allergic) have shown the senstivity to it.
thats simple that he cant digest it ! peanut butter is nothing but peanuts ground to the paste consistency,,if nicely grounded you dont require to add sugar too !
if your dr is ok with his intake, i dont c any concerns,,the reason being your dr has been seeing your baby from the day 1 and he knows his apetite and growth,,as far as the growth,it looks good to me ! so i m not worried as well..
he is eating rice 2 times,,why is that.he is 15months, havent you introduced wheat ?? introduce it,,,one time baby should get a grain meal with vegies or lentils..its good for body.

thanks for promt reply.my baby got reflux when he was 11 months old.he is under gastroenterologist right now,doc did test.he got esophagus inflammation,I saw someone also asked abt that.now he has very mild acid reflux but he sometimes vomit,not all the time.he is only 19 lb.he is gainning.he is vegeterian so sometimes i give him cheese and penut butter..he cant digest.he has no allergy.He can eat only rice ,all veges,apple,banana..any fruits but no citrus fruits,i dont give him any citrus fruits or gassy and spicy..no never.most probably he had silent reflux when he was small b'caz he doesn't want to drink milk when he was 7/8 mos..but doc told it happens sometimes.finally at 11 mos he started vomiting.he doesn't like to drink milk.just 1 bottle pediasure a day,breakfast milk with cereal,almond powder, then after 2 hrs fruits..lunch rice with lentils and veges with little but butter,then afternoon yogurt/milk dinner rice with veges.thats it...but very little amount he eats.So much worried abt him.He is 15 months old...not days.I wrote 13 by mistake.it will be 15 months old.He is on the medication ..he is taking prevacid , 1 time 30 mind begore breakfast andRaglon, 4 times 30 mins before meal.thanks yaar. need all of ur support at this time.
