Name: Lakshmi Prabhuram we are trying to have a baby for quite sometime. And I did a genreal check up and scan and my result showed that the ovaries are \";polycystic\";. Could u please tell me what this means excatly ? also if this is the case is it curable and will I be able to conceive? And how long will it take.

Dear Lakshami,
this is one common concern and considerate hurdle while ttc.
PCOS is PolyCystic Ovarain Syndrome. This poses difficulty in conceiving, but not make women absolutely infertile. Your Dr. will have to use some superovulation agents to help you with this.

It will take little longer than without any problem. Given and known problem, which is important in medicine, I think you should get great help from your Dr. Clomid however may not help a lot.
