Feeding:Giving potato for my 8 months old - cause gastric?

My doctor advised me to start giving boiled potato for my 8 month old kid..He is having that for nearly 10 days..Till now I didnt see any allergic reaction or gastric problem..But I just want to know if this cause gastric problem in future? One of my colleague was telling like she used to add garlic paste with that potato.But I dont think it sounds good. I guess adding garlic will cause a very bad wind..lol..right?

Ur frd is right..u can add a clove of garlic while boiling potato and mash it to feed the baby...along with it also add one whole back pepper and pinch of jeera..this will prevent from any digestive or gastric issues...
