My daughter who will turn 14 months in about 2 weeks has not got any teeth as yet. Could anyone advise if something is wrong with her and what should I do, or have any of you had similar experiences too.

She does not talk a lot too. Just says mama, dada and baby.

She is very underweight too, just weighs 8.6kg. Am fed up of people telling me how small and thin she looks for her age and whether or not I am feeding her properly etc. etc. Bottomline is that she has a very small appetite and is a very fussy eater. It takes an eternity for me to finish any one meal of hers. She prefers to drink milk more rather than eat.

Is all this normal or am I going nuts and being too hypersensitive.

dont worry much..if it really bothers you then take her to pediatric dentist(with your childs doc referral) and check is she having any deficiency.. even with water if there's less (sodium or dont know what's) content then it might delay their teething..check with dentist..good luck to you..

Don't worry at all. When I was small I got my first tooth when I was 2 years old. Moreover my husband also got his teeth when he was 1 and 1/2 year old. Thus just relax. For her feeding problem, if she likes milk then give her all types of milkshakes using frash fruits..blen them with milk. Steam little quantity of carrot..make it smooth..blend it with milk add any essense your baby likes ..like mango or rose etc. Try to give her cooked vegetables in the milk and add some essense so she won't come to know. this will help her in getting the vitamines which her body requires. If she likes milk try to give her different Khirs..made up from rice or suji.

Try out ..I think this will help.

Dear Sabrina,
dont worry as my baby is of the same age and I too got worried as he had only 2 teeth, but development varies from child 2 child, you can give him some teething pills, one is dentonic (its homepathic and has no side effects)but do consult your doctor before doing so. Language is also not a problem, as once they stop talking they dont stop, so let youtr baby take it own time in his development. All the best. and do keep me posted.

Dear Andrea,

Thanks for your reply. The fact is that your baby still has 2 teeth, but mine has none, and that is what is worrying me. I have not heard from any parent that I know that their kid has NO teeth at all at the age of 14 months, that is what is killing me.

I live in Sydney and do not think we get Dentonic out here, do you know of anything else I can use.

Anyway, thanks once again and all the best to your baby too.

My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
