Hi Vani,
Soory i don't have any suggestion for you this time. I know how conveience it is if your child feed with botttle, but mine (11 month old) was a hard nut never took bottle except a couple of times when we were on road & she was very sleepy.Although we did try different ideas & advices but failed (not very seriously since I never tried to keep her hungry & the cry it out methods). Now I have started giving her cup which depending on her mood she accepts. I am stay at home mom so I never bothered much for this bottle thing but I suffered a lot also.My target was to breast feed her till one year. Right now I have successfully weaned her to solids at day time. She needs breast milk for her night time wakings & day time naps which are two. She is still waking two-three times in night.
I will deffinetly suggest you to keep trying to make your baby to hook on to bottle as it will make your life much less harder & will stop or reduce her night time waking.Yours is still very young & it is the right time to do.
Best of luck
Kavita
ps : there are some good articles on some sites on how to start bottle feeding, few are:
babycenter& parentsplace. Try yur luck there.

Hi Vani
I don't know if its your first or ...
Babies do need time to adjust out of womb.Try to feed every two hours if breastfeeding & always burp her after every feed & check diapers every two hours.
At this age babies are too young to see object & distinguish colours. You can try singing or playing soft music. Check with your pediatrician if she is colic or has a reflux. I have gone through all these & found after lots of research & talking to doc. that my child had gastric reflux. She could not sleep because of acidity & gas & used to cry of the same reason.
I personally find cry it out little cruel for babies of this age who are so innocent & whose only way of communication is crying. Definetly their crying has a message. You have to decode it. You are her mother.. Keep in mind every child is different, don't ever compare.
Best of luck. Keep your moral high & patience. You will forget every thing when you see her smiling at you after one more month.
Kavita

Hi vani,
yes your baby is too young to demand that you carry her all the day.
Maybe the reason for crying is hunger or wetness. Maybe her stomach dosent get full enough for her to fall asleep on her own.
You can Divert her attention during daytime by tying some colourful toys on her crib which she can watch. Play with her and talk a lot to her without picking her up.
Sing a lullaby for her to fall asleep. Believe me it works. Also try putting her to sleep in a quiet and darkened room.
I would not recommend a jhula for her as it would be tough for you to carry one everywhere.
Be patient with your baby. Your baby can feel your tension. Be happy so that she feels relaxed too.

My baby girl is unable to sleep properly due to skin rashes. I have resumed oil massages to help calm her down and facilitate better sleep, using CITTA Baby Massage Oil. Additionally, I am applying the ointment recommended by her doctor for the rashes. RE:How to Develop a Sleep Routine for your Newborn
According to me this is good but then you cannot force your child to sleep as per your wish as kids as really bad in this and they have a tendency to sleep in day and get up in late night so according to me this is not the key to success, please post if i am wrong.... - Anita [View Message]
