My baby' s fontanelle [anterior softspot on head] is sinking more and more ... He is taking less formula but I am working on his feeding and trying to give him more. He takes rice cereal as well. It was not sinking earlier but now it has started sinking. He is also not gaining weight as much. He is 4 months old and was born 3 months early... So almost 7 months ignoring premature birth.

Plzplzplzpzlpzl help. I m getting worried but my ped has not said anything about it. Do they possibly not check these things for every visit ??

plz let me know..
thx

Fontanelle sinking is not a good sign. Maybe to do with less feeding, or more importantly he may be sick. Does he have a temperature or an upset tummy? Even if you pead does not check it himself, why don' t you ask. In case they have not noticed, you can draw attention to it, and clarify. Better still, when you have an appointment with the doc, jot down any and all queries you have, and ensure you cover everything.
