Name: Pammi Hi everyone,
I have a 31/2 yr old son and he is going to nursery and I' m planning to put him for LKG this June. His present school is not giving any stress on writing skills. So can anyone tell me, for his age how much he should able to write ABC... and 123....

why don' t u try materials with which u can help your child not only read and write but also excel in his school fine materials are avilable, as a matter of fact i myself market them if u don' t mind i can explain more in detail if ur interested

hi
instead of directly taking child to letters and numbers, involve him/her in observations showing shapes of letters etc. Then it is easy to get him write.

right age

hi pammi, 3& a half is the right age for writing abc. u can start with no.s as they r easy. but don' t force your kid for writing.just make him hold the pencil properly & draw whatever he want. don' t worry .he will start writing soon

I was worried b´ cos one school I visited said they will conduct written test for LKG and he should be able to write ABC. These days I am asking him to write (like joining the dots to make an alphabet) and he is doing it but I think it takes some time.
