my son is 2 years now.i had seen in his montessary that children finish of their food themself.i wonder when my child is going to learn this n how i should teach him this
disha replied. it is just fine if ur baby is not eating not his own.no two babies are same .whenever u feed ur child give him a seperate plate like th one u have and allow him to create a mess.place a big mat below the high chair and let him do whatever he wants.even like eating curd etc,this will make him very independent and don' t scold him for the mess.it is not his fault he is trying to take control of his muscles and learning--that' s what u want ,right!!! go ahead even ur kiddo will love u for this. paramjit.krishnan replied. first fall remember that u should never compare ur child with others and pressure him to be like them.each child is unique and we need to accept them the way they are(unless they are really have some major complications).u r child is small and it might take him some more months to learn to eat by himself.Don' t push him too hard but gently encourage him to eat by himself.always praise him for his effort even if he is able to eat a few morsels by himself and within a matter of a few months he will be independent.
