Hi Archie

We are ttc.Sometime back when we were not ttc the doctor prescribed an Estrogen based cream as a lubricant.Can I continue using that even while ttc as the penetration is good when I use the cream.

Hi Kar

This is a hormone based cream which acts like a lubricant.Yes penetration is good when this cream is used as it makes the vagina softer.But if you are ttc i suggest donot use it because when I asked my doctor she said though it doesn't do any harm as such it will be difficult for the sperm to swim any kind of cream over there.So she said it is best to avoid unless you cannot do without it.Good Luck.

Dear Seetha,
I would say it should be OK. Estrogen is one of the female hormone required even to improve lining of uterus.

If you are still in need of Lubrican go ahead and use it. If you think you can manage without lubricant then try to avoid although it should be fine.

As usual, just to confirm give a call to your Dr and see what he/she has to say.
