My 20 month old daughter hates milk! Now she drinks milk in sipper bottle.. i have to sit with her for more than 1 hour in front of T.V. so atleast she will drink half of the bottle.! pls give me any suggestions to help me! Also she does not drink milk by feeding bottle .. only by sipper bottle or small tumbler!
I used to give her rice + dal + 4 veggies + rasam and all purreed in mixer and gave her.. but for the past 1 week she simply refuses pureed kichadhi.. so i cooked rice and mixed with mashed spinach curry and gave her with rice + dal + spinach + ghee mixture.. without purring and she ate!
Now iam afraid how to give other veggies like carrot, beans, cauliflower.. which i used to give her before pureed in mixture..
Pls help me how to give veggies with rice.. without purring them in mixer..!
Since my daughter hates soups.. i dont have any other way of giving her veggies!
pls give me suggestions as how u give ur kids veggies daily...!
Awaiting ur reply,
Thanks,
Anu.

2 potatoes
1 raw banana
1/2 katora green peas
1/2 katora beans
wash and steam the above in a cooker. peel and smash it either with hand or in mixer depending upon ur kids liking as if she finds lumps then she may not eat.
add little salt, little finely cut coriander leaves, little turmeric, little chilly powder (only if she eats little spicy) mix with well with the smashed vegs, add rice flour or add besan flour or corn flour and mix it well and form into a dough. no need to use water at all. these boiled vegs will have water in them. the dough should be thick. then keep aside for 15-20 mnts and make small flat bondas (vadas) of the dough and fry it in little oil - shallow fry it till it gets brown and give her. she will like.
Priya replied. Anu -now that ur kid is 20 month old- she should eat the food that we eat i.e. solid food. But let it be soft cooked and not hard to eat. Dont puree anything as he is grown up and will definitely eat solid but soft food.
You can make veg. cutlet/ patice for her where u can include any vegs u want just clean, steam, mash and make cutlet.
for milk -it is good that she drinks from the sippy as weaning the kids from the bottle is again difficult. flavour the milk in many ways- chocolate flavour, mango pulp, pediasure, dates syrup, honey, horlicks, boost etc. u can add paneer in her everyday diet if she is not drinking enough qty of milk, u can give her curd, custard, rava, wheat, rice, semolina kheer if she likes. give her cheese slice or add cheese in her diet. all these are alternate sources of milk. milk in any other form like this is also OK. try giving her soya milk-that is also very good supplement of proteins etc.
