Feeding:Feeding problems

Dear Dr,

My 15 month old son is very very moody regarding food. His height and weight is OK as per the chart and his overall growth is also OK. However, every 2nd day he completely refuses to eat anything. He is still on mother' s feed but that too has reduced substantially since the last couple of months. His intake of normal milk is almost zero. He does not take the milk while awake and when we try to push some during sleep at most he takes 30ml at a time.

We have tried all varieties of food but to no avail. He only likes yogurt and banana both of which we had to discontinue due to a recent bout of throat and ear infection. So basically he is not taking any food or milk not sure how he runs around the house endlessly.

Any advise in this regards is most welcome.

hi parul,
just few days before i was in the same situtaion as u r today.my baby is also 16 mnths old refuse to take alternative food.he was completely on my feed.
listen ,actually it may be due to throat soreness that they refuse everthing. dnt force him coz this will distract him more.have patience he will take. by the time he get well ,offer him vegetable maggie, atleast they will have some thing in their stomach.and i hope he wnt deny for maggie. also try n give him milk with some bournvita in till, feed him whenever he is busy with watching tv ,his favourite cartoon or songs. or he his busy in some other thing. try with spoon with deep hole.
