Give him Polybion-L drops for a month. (Check with your doc.) But, stop after a month. Tonics for appetite show a slight improvement after a while. Don' t worry. Once a child reaches toddlerhood, their rate of growth slows down considerably. So, their food requirements are much less than when they were infants. He knows how much food he needs.

They are so active in exploring their environment, walking about, playing that they don' t want to sit and eat. whatever you do, don' t force him.

Offer him regular food at mealtimes. Let him eat whatever he wants. Then, during snack times, keep some snacks that he can take in his hand and walk around - finger chips, bits of cheddar cheese, small round cutlets, bits of paratha, biscuits, etc. Let him eat on the move. After an hour, offer him a drink of milk. At this age, the normal intake of milk is 12-16 oz. Which is roughly 1 1/2 to 2 glasses of milk. So, if he has somewhere around that much, it' s fine.

I have the same problem with my 20 month old son. Somtimes, he won' t eat anything the whole day long, just a few bites of Nestum rice with water. I guess we have to try and deal with it.
