my 8mth old baby don' t like any sweet things. i had offereed him suji kheer or any milk product with little or no sugar .he don' t want to eat very sweet fruit like chickoo. is it o.k.

Perfectly ok. Somehow, in this country we think that all babies will like things with a bit of salt and a bit of sugar.

In fact, you shouldn' t be giving your infant sugar. It can be gradually introduced after he completes 1. My son never fancied sweet things either. If he didn' t like some medicine, everyone would say, add a little sugar and give him. If he didn' t like his cereal, add a little sugar. It made NO DIFFERENCE since he never cared for sweet things. Even now, he' s not a big fan of sweet fruits. In fact, he prefers citrus fruits (oranges) and grapes. Never liked bananas, chikoos, melons, etc. It' s fine. He' s a normal human being who has a preference (no sugar). In the long run, it will be so much better for his health.
