keep trying and one day they will get used to the sippy cup. it took one yr for my son to get rid of his bottle habit after trying so many tricks..but after he turned 2, i was really determined to get him rid of bottle habit and for 3 weeks continuosly, i did not give him bottle. he is very fond of milk and went without it for several days. but ultimately got rid of his habit. so just keep trying. stick to simple cups rather than fancy ones. even if they take it sip by sip, encourage them. doesn' t matter if it takes an hr to finish the drink. if they show any signs of even slightest interest in the cup, encourage it. sometimes just for our convenience we give them bottle. good luck !

Hi Pallavi..im worried as well..my daughter is 1.6 years old now..but is still sucking the bottle..I tried to give her sipper..with the soft silicone nipple..but she would drink just half the quantity and refuses to drink more..and the sad part..she' s okay to drinking juices from that sipper..but doesnt like milk in that...and she' s chewd off the tip of the sipper as well now..I dont know what to do..Im back to bottles now...sterilizing them all the time...

Just a little note. After babies complete 1 year, you don´ t need to sterilize bottles every time you wash. Just wash the bottles in hot, soapy water. Use water from a heater. And make sure they dry thoroughly before use. You can sterilize once a week. You wouldn´ t sterilize a glass, would you, if you daughter drank milk from it ? It´ s the same logic. A hot wash is enough (water above 50 degrees celcius).
