Hi Moms...dont know why...but my daughter who is 1.6 years old is not at all eating properly. This is her daily diet schedule:

7am -Drinks Pediasure-2spoons in warm water- 80ml.

9am - Very little breakfast - upma/aalo poha - 3-4 spoons.

1.30pm- Eats 8-9 spoons of rice+ghee+salt.

6pm- Eats 4-5 spoons cerelac.

10pm- Drinks junior horlicks - arnd 80ml.

I feel this is not at all sufficient for her...since shes very active and keeps doing some mischief all day. Pls suggest how can I make her food more interesting to her.

Im giving my daughter Idli/dosas etc..during breakfast, but I feel atleast she shd eat some rice during lunchtime.

Pls let me know how to prepare oatmeal...and if its available ready..let me know the brandname.

I started feeding boiled egg to my kid...my doc told me to give yellow of the egg...but my kid likes the white..so im giving that to her...but how frequently can egg be fed..as in twice a week or thrice..pls let me know.

Is it okay to feed cornflakes etc for lunchtime or dinnertime??

My daughter is fussy abt eating curds/curdrice..so I give her shrikhand..is that fine/healthy..??

I am too facing the same problem..i m not able say whether my kid is doing well or not.....anyhow...my idea is kids wont concentrate on food rather they like to play as they wander here there pulling around everything so whtever 4-5 spoons they r having shuld be highly nutritious...wht i do i mix 4-5 veggies, 1 fruit rice dhal and give her....she doesnt take more 4-5 spoons...but somewht i m satisfied as they get the veggies...i keep on doing variety stuffs for my kid...if ur kiddo like to play wants to eat little by little then give him for 2-3 hrs gap...where we can get satisfied atleast some wht they r eating....try out new things...u can give scrambled egg, besan ata halwa, sujji kheer, carrot kheer, oatmeal which is very nutritious...cornflakes...if ur kiddo doesnt like as it is...blend it well powder it and put little milk keep it in stove stir it and cool it....it will make nice porridge...raagi porridge, custards...etc etc...hope this helps...
