U remeber i had posted the same query under milestones discussion board , dated 22-5-08 when my baby was going to be 1 year old and u had replied to me that i should not worry.

Anyways, my dd who is going to be soon 15 months old in another week also doesn' t walk yet. she cruises around the furniture crawls but doesn' t stand independently without any support and so doesn' t walk independently. We hold both her hands and make her walk.

There is nothing to worry , the paed. says that every child is different and they walk independently anytime from 9 months to 3 years.

As long as she is crawling, cruising around the furniture and attempting to walk with the help of your support then she is fine, there is nothing wrong with her.

Even then u can show it to the paed for your satisfaction.

Madhu M aks replied. every baby is different..just like all fingers of the hand are diff so are babies. Dont compare. As u sd she is holding things and standing...try to make her walk by holding her hands. Monitor if she has missed any milestones. I think u shd wait till 18mnths...n then check with a ped. take care
