when my daughter was 1yr old,her docter told me to reduce her milk to two times a day like older one.because giving her milk time to time decrese the hungerness for solid food.no. of mom increase milk because she thinks that atleast child should take something which should not be done.while giving them solid sit with them with colourfull books or sometime new toys or play with them.

Hi,
Even my son who is 1.5 years didnt eat anything for almost 20 days....he drank only milk....he used to throw away if i wud give him something to eat....we were really worried a lot.....later he started eating again. The reason was that he was teething (i guess so). Some kids dont eat anything when they are teething. Now he began to eat and i can see two teeths popped at the bottom. Just dont worry ........give whatever she likes and keep trying to make her eat.
Best wishes,
Reena

Try to make the food decorative like make frankies out of chapati , make some decoration on top of it from vegetables or fruits. n yes kavita is right. make her sit near the door or window and show her crow, parrot, eagle, clouds, trees, buildings n talk to her continuously showing her the things out of the window n ask her to speak or reply according to her wish. she will get engrossed and nicely eat the food.

also u can try nutritious laddoos recipes which i have already placed in this board. u can also try home made corn flakes chivda or oats upma, idli, dosa which children generally like. u can also add carrot and beetroot juice in her milk. give her apple to nibble or banana to nibble. dont force her as she will more repent on ur forcing. take it as per her own wish. show her nursery rhymes VCDs so that she gets engrossed in the poems.

Hi Meghana,
You can tackle this easily.I feel may be ur trying to divert ur kids attention through T.V. or some other media. While eating try to make a story on what ur feeding and make her independent eater.Though she may be messy initially give her lot of varieties on plate and u also fill ur plate and start treating her as an adult. she will start comparing herself with u and may start eating.dont feed her seperately rather make her a a co-eater with ur family.i think within few days she shd be eating on her own.dont gve her milk atleast an before eating.
