Hi. I have a 16 month old too. He still drinks from the bottle. But, he only has 4 teeth, so I don' t mind weaning him off the bottle a little later. If your child has 8-10 teeth, then you can gradually start getting her directly to a glass. Forget the sipper. My son is interested in things only when sitting at the table with us. So, that' s when I offer him water in a glass. He only takes a few sips, but if you do this everyday... sometimes with a little milk and sometimes with water, then gradually she will get used to the glass. In the meanwhile, let her have her regular feeds with the bottle, while simultaneously getting accustomed to the glass.
